Presbyterian Women (PW) is a church wide organization that is open to all women who wish to participate. The women at Guilford Park are aligned in Circles which meet monthly from September through May. Each member may participate in one of these circles, whose purpose is to provide an inclusive, caring community of women who participate in Bible study and prayer, meeting the needs of its members and carrying through Circle-approved projects.
A Women's Board, which meets monthly, oversees the Circles and organizes the Least Coin and Birthday objectives. Other projects include the intergenerational service day, collecting and maintaining the history of GPPC, and sponsoring the Honorary Life Memberships.
The Presbyterian Women have three large group meetings during the year: The Intergenerational Service Day in January, the Birthday Objective Gathering in May (a covered-dish salad supper), and the Fall Thank Offering Gathering in September.
Presbyterian Women hold an annual weekend retreat in Montreat, North Carolina. The weekend provides opportunities to rest, reflect, hike, eat, and worship together. There is also a day-long retreat each spring.
