Fellowship Events
Chili Cookoff
The Chili Cook-off is held on a Sunday evening in February. Members of the congregation are invited to bring a pot of chili to share, and possibly win the coveted Golden Spoon for best chili! Members are invited to bring a dessert to share. This is a great event to invite a friend to come and enjoy great fellowship and great chili at no cost. Palm Sunday Breakfast Join us for the Palm Sunday Breakfast from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. Please be our guests for pancakes, sausage, cereal, fruit, and beverages. It's a great chance to catch up with friends and make new ones! Easter Egg Hunt The Saturday before Easter the lawn and playground at the church are covered with hundreds of Easter eggs filled with candy. Children are invited to the church to hunt for eggs, make crafts, and meet the Easter bunny. All are welcome! |
Pig Pickin’
The Pig Pickin' is held each fall, and it's an opportunity for adults to gather with, food, fellowship, and fun! The church provides barbeque, sides, and drink. Those who come are asked to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. We hope to see you there! Trunks o' Treats Each year around Halloween, the church parking lot is taken over by fun and spooky cars. Children are invited to trick or treat at each trunk where candy is given out. The Middle School youth also create a haunted house for kids to go through. Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and bring their trick or treat bags! Hotdog Hayride Everyone is invited to join the fun at the annual fall Hotdog Hayride sponsored by Family Ministries. There are activities, hot dogs, a bonfire, and a hayride for everyone to participate in. The event is held at Camp GuilRock. Hanging of the Greens Soup Supper The Hanging of the Greens and Soup Supper takes place each year on the first Sunday of Advent. The congregation brings ingredients for a few different pots of soup, and our Fellowship Committee prepares the soup. On the evening of the Soup Supper members are invited to bring a dessert or bread/crackers to share. You are also welcome to make a pot of soup and bring it the evening of the Soup Supper. |
