GIFTS THAT GIVE, coming November 11th!

GIFTS THAT GIVE is an International Fair Trade Gift Market, to be held November 11th, 9AM - 4PM, Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, 2100 Fernwood Drive, Greensboro, (corner of Lawndale and Fernwood).  Fifteen countries are represented in a selection of handcrafted items from $4 - $200, including Nepal, Kenya, Peru, Ecuador, Haiti, Indonesia, Uganda, Panama, Vietnam, India, Haiti, Bangladesh, Mexico, Palestine/West Bank, and South Africa.   Find one of a kind scarves, jewelry, leather bound journals, hand carved wood and stone pieces of art, textiles and metal works for the home decor,  embroidered accessories and wall hangings, handwoven baskets of all shapes and sizes, including exquisite African woven wire baskets, and variety of food items, including chocolates, and coffees.  These items express the art and culture of the countries represented. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE ARE RETURNED TO THE ARTISANS TO RELIEVE POVERTY, CARE FOR THEIR CHILDREN, AND PROMOTE HUMAN DIGNITY IN THEIR COUNTRIES. Children wanting to shop alone will be given special attention. Admission is free!
