When We Worship
Guilford Park gathers for one blended worship service at 10:00 A.M. each Sunday morning, incorporating elements of traditional and casual/contemporary music.
You’ll sing hymns led by our traditional Chancel Choir and casual songs led by the YES Choir, all in the same service. There is a children’s moment near the beginning of worship, and we celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month.
What Worship Feels Like
Our pastor usually preaches for about fifteen minutes — short enough to keep your attention, long enough to give you something to chew on for the week.
Sermons are meant to comfort and challenge, make you think, and sometimes make you laugh — all in the service of helping your faith in our loving God grow.
What to Expect
Guilford Park is large enough to offer meaningful programs and opportunities for all ages, but small enough for people to learn your name and you to learn theirs.
What should I wear?
Some people dress casually, others more formally. Nobody is really concerned about what you wear. We are simply glad you are here.
Who will I meet?
Worshipers are young, old, and middle-aged. You’ll find longtime members, new visitors, children, families, singles, and seekers.
Can I ask questions?
Yes. We do not ask you to leave your brain at the door. We value gracious conversation, honest questions, and faithful curiosity.
For Children and Families
Children are welcome in worship. Near the beginning of the service, kids are invited forward for a children’s moment.
Professional childcare for infants and toddlers is available every Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Adult Sunday School is offered immediately following worship.
