Hey Neighbors,

My name is Rev. Stephen M. Fearing and, as the pastor of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, it's my pleasure to invite all area church leaders to our 2023 Ruth Lamb Enrichment Series, "Growing Young: Six Essential Strategies to Help Young People Discover and Love Your Church."  This FREE event will take place on Saturday, September 30 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. and is open to the community.

About "Growing Young:"
Churches are both shrinking and aging as more young people disengage. Based on groundbreaking research with over 250 of the nation’s leading congregations, Growing Young provides a strategy any church can use to involve and retain young people. It profiles innovative churches engaging 15- to 29-year-olds that are growing–spiritually, emotionally, missionally, and numerically. Packed with ideas, Growing Young shows ministry leaders how to position their churches to reach younger generations in a way that breathes life into the whole church.

Our featured guest speaker will be Andy Jung, the Senior Director of Church Engagement and Business Administration at the Fuller Youth Institute.  Andy focuses on developing relationships with church, denominational, and network leaders, finding ways for FYI's research, resources, and training to support their ministry. He earned a BS in Math Education from North Carolina State University, an MDiv from Campbell University Divinity School, and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary in Youth, Family, and Culture. He has served as a youth minister for 20+ years and a senior pastor for five years. In addition, Andy also served as a state executive leader for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of NC for two years before joining FYI's staff in 2020. In addition to his work at FYI, he is a current ministry practitioner as he serves as the Minister in Residence for Young Adults at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. Andy lives with his wife Amy in Raleigh and is passionate about helping churches better love and care for young people so that teenagers and young adults can thrive in their faith.

We hope you'll join us!  See below for the full schedule of the weekend's events.

Grace and peace,
Rev. Stephen M. Fearing, Pastor
