Welcome to Guilford Park Presbyterian Church! Seeking unity in divisive times, we open our doors and our arms to all: the culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse; young and old; gay and straight; believers and seekers. Just as Jesus reached out to all and included everyone, so do we, the people of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church. We choose to be an affirming church that welcomes all of God's people without exception. We welcome all those who wish to join us in worship and service.
Guilford Park gathers for one blended worship service at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning, bringing together a mix of contemporary and traditional elements. Professional child care is offered every Sunday, and we offer adult Sunday school immediately following worship every Sunday. Our Story Guilford Park Presbyterian Church was founded in 1948, growing from a small group who first gathered for worship under an oak tree at the corner of Fairfield and Fernwood. For more than seventy-five years, that spirit of gathering and growing has shaped who we are: a congregation rooted in faith, committed to our neighborhood, and always looking toward what God is calling us to next. In recent years, we have lived out that calling in tangible ways. In 2023, we became an official "Progress Partner" with the Guilford Green Foundation and LGBT+ Center, solidifying our commitment to being an LGBT+ affirming congregation that welcomes all of God's people without exception. In 2024, we became a Matthew 25 congregation of the PC(USA), recommitting ourselves to building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism, and eradicating systemic poverty. Then, in the summer of 2025, we partnered with Greensboro Urban Ministry to operate a homeless shelter within our church building, providing a safe place for approximately a dozen women experiencing homelessness. In 2026, we began the search for our next Associate Pastor—another step forward in a story that is still being written. Through every chapter, we remain united in Christ, growing in faith and love, welcoming all, and serving one another and our community. We invite you to become part of what comes next.
