Plan and implement activities that welcome newcomers and consciously integrate new members into the church family, while continuing to foster a deep sense of community within the
church.

develop plans to strengthen hospitality to newcomers and assimilation of new members (New Member Committee with support from Finance and Stewardship Committee; Spring 2008)
provide and annual community celebration on the lawn (New Member Committee with support from Fellowship Committee; Fall 2008)
organize semi-annual activity for newcomers and new members (New

develop a plan for meeting the music ministry staffing and program needs (a task force formed with one appointed by each of the following: Personnel Committee (task force chair), Worship Committee,
Children and Youth Ministries Committee, Chancel Choir, YES Music Team, Men's Chorus, and Handbells with the pastors serving as ex. officio's and in consultation with the music staff; Summer 2007. Plan formed

establish an ongoing program of spiritual formation and development that may include small groups, classes and retreats on prayer, the creeds, music, and
meditation (Adult and Older Adult Ministries Committee; Spring 2009)
build a foundation of faith for families by offering parenting classes on faith development of children and include home
Bible studies and devotional guides (Children and Youth Ministries Committee and Adult and Older Adult Ministries Committee; Spring 2009)

develop a plan to better meet the transportation needs of our church (a task force formed with one appointed by each of the following committees: Adult and Older Adult Ministries, Children and Youth
Ministries, Congregational Care, Fellowship, Mission, with the Associate Pastor and Christian Educator serving as ex. officio's; Fall 2007)
explore ways to address the health care needs of the
congregation (paid, part-time congregational nurse, Stephen Ministry, etc.) (Congregational Care Committee in consultation with Personnel Committee; present plan Spring 2008)
establish
support groups for those with similar life situations (single parents, divorce, widows/widowers, etc.) (Congregational CareCommittee in consultation with Adult and Older Adult Ministries Committee; Fall
