Confirmation at GPPC recognizes it is time to approach our teenagers' Christian education in
a more reflective way than when they were elementary and middle schoolers. It's a concentrated time of helping them see their lives in a broader context than the one our
secular society offers. We pray for God to help us accurately share the life-long journey of faith, what the gospel of Christ has meant and can mean to them.
The journey toward confirmation at Guilford Park begins January of our youth's 9th grade year. Each youth is assigned an individual mentor who accompanies them through 5 months
of personal Bible study, group meetings to learn more about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, responsibilities and privileges of church membership, and the making of
personal statement of faith in Jesus Christ and the decision to become a member of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church.
The confirmation process is one of spiritual growth, exploration, many questions and discoveries as the youth prepare themselves for these life-long decisions of faith and
commitment to the church. Our youth will be confirmed on April 29 after presenting their statements of faith to the session and begin received into membership by the confirmation.
