Class Descriptions

Crib Class   (3 months up to not one year by August 31)
Our Crib Room is composed of 8 babies and 2 teachers.  Babies can attend 1 or 2 days a week.  Our goal is to provide an environment where babies can feel very secure and loved.  We create a classroom full of music, toys, sensory, exploration, and books.

Toddler Class     (1 year by August 31)
Our Toddler Class is composed of 10 toddlers and 2 teachers.  We provide opportunities for toddlers to learn social skills, experience creativity, participate in language exploration, and practice gross motor skills.  Toddlers learn the world is exciting and fun-filled.

Two-year-old Class     (2 years by August 31)
Our two‑year‑old’s class is composed of 12 children to 2 teachers.  We provide opportunities to explore, read, sing, create and practice independence in the classroom.  The two year olds participate in painting, storytelling, singing, and dancing.  We offer a play enriched environment while at the same time integrating developmentally appropriate readiness skills incorporated within the child’s play.

Three-year-old Class     (3 years by August 31)
Our three year old’s class is composed of 12 children and 2 teachers. This classroom is very exciting.  Language has been mastered, fine motor skills are being sharpened, gross motor skills are constantly used, and memorization pre‑emergent reading and writing all come together.  The children are gently encouraged to rise to the next level of development by working together in learning and play centers as well as with individual attention from the teachers.  We are beginning the building of readiness skills needed for objectives that will be introduced in the 4-year-old and Pre-K Classes.

Four-year-old Class       (4 Years by August 31)
Our four year old’s class is composed of 15 children and 2 teachers.  This classroom offers a curriculum that is a transitional stage to assist in preparing your child to enter into kindergarten for the following year.  Individual assessments will be made in class to determine each child’s level of mastery in various subjects.  The children are introduced to and master the skills needed to prepare them for success in the kindergarten program.  Some of the readiness skills they are working on are: beginning sounds, sight words, counting patterns to 100, simple addition and subtraction to name a few

Pre-K Class          (5 Years by August 31st or 5 Years by January 31)
Our Pre-K class is composed of 15-18 children and 2 teachers.
It is specifically for children who could have attended Kindergarten but needed an extra year to mature.  It also may be composed of children who will turn five by January 31st and with teacher recommendation.  This class will be preparing children for Kindergarten but in a whole group experience.
